Why not to buy an iPad (for now at least)

From the number of people I have seen purchasing iPads with a lot of uncertainty in their decisions, I’d like to raise the following counter-argument for those contemplating a purchase before they dive head-first:

  1. Problems expected to be rectified in the next generation of iPads:
    • No multi-tasking.
    • No video conferencing, as there’s no front (or back) camera.
    • No external storage support (USB,SD)
    • 1-inch bezel adds unnecessary size and weight. For me, it’s just too heavy for one-handed holding above a few minutes.

Solved: Nokia 5800 stylus pen falling out easily

Now this is not really an IT post, but it certainly relates to an important tool which I use to organize and synchronize my schedule on a daily basis; my Nokia 5800 phone using 5th generation Symbian version 9 operating software.

The problem actually relates to the make of hardware, where the stylus pen keeps falling out after less than year of use. Of the many solutions read, I have found the one within this post to be simple and most effective:

“just used  the tape in the first picture (some cheap pvc electric tape), put two layers of it, the upper one a bit smaller then the bottom one (maybe it would work even better if the upper one was larger since it would be [an] even smoother transition). the stylus is bent at the top so it slides in easily without tearing the tape”
